The Space
Villa Orca is a two-minute drive from the wide golden sands of the family-friendly Choeng Mon Beach, with its eclectic selection of stylish, boutique hotels, restaurants and bars, mixed with some local favour. It is also as close to the famous Big Buddha Temple, fronted by small souvenir shops and cofee houses and just a seven-minute drive from the airport. Villa Orca’s stunning hillside location is approached via a private driveway through the ornate black-lacquered steel and opaque glass entrance door, with parking for three cars.
Villa Orca is made of the main house with 4 bedroom, and a stand-alone bungalow with the 5th and master bedroom. The main house The main Villa is arranged over two foors with 400 square metres of total living space, houses the uniquely designed, open-plan 150 square metre lounge with impressive six-metre-high teak- beamed ceilings. The entire width of the house incorporates a grand open-plan living area including the kitchen, dining and sumptuous lounge area, and is fronted by foor to ceiling sliding glass doors leading onto the magnifcent terrace and vista. The grey marble and limestone terrace features an impressive 14 by 3.5-metre infnity pool, inlaid with the same grey marble limestone and complete with jacuzzi jets and in-water seating, and truly appreciating the seductive sea views over Koh Phangan. The hardwood exterior furniture comprises sunbeds, sofa sets and a dining table for up to 12 guests.
The interior lounge area boasts an oversized sofa with extra-deep seat cushions, also purposely designed to lie back on and totally bliss-out. The guest kitchen is stunningly sleek and ultra-modern, complete with top-of-the-range, built-in Gorenje appliances and accessories, a double-size fridge freezer and a breakfast bar. An extra preparation kitchen is tucked away behind for those catering-preferred times. Two beautiful solid hardwood dining tables, one inside and one out on the deck, seat up to 12 guests each, ensuring you always eat with a tranquillity-inspiring sea view.
Guest Access
Three luxurious sea view Master bedrooms are located in the upper levels of the main house: one at the pool level adjacent to the living area with views through foor to ceiling glass doors, across the infnity pool and the lush-green Nature Reserve of protected tropical forest; one upstairs bedroom has an exterior terrace closed with a glass panels to maximise the sea views, the other upstair bedroom overlooks the ground foor living space to access that sought after sea-view and boasts a private balcony to the rear with two sunbeds.
The fourth bedroom, aptly named “The Jungle Suite”, is below the terrace area, accessed down easy steps alongside the house. With its 70sqm of cool and breezy space, it is perfect as a family suite. Closing of the main bedroom, bathroom and dressing room, you still have a living area with a sofa bed, children’s bed area, lounge, additional toilet and outside patio area with seating.
The fifth bedroom – The Bali Suite, can be included as part of the main residence, and due to its private entrance and interior, can also be rented separately. It comes complete with a secluded garden a plunge pool and deck, kitchenette, dressing room, bathroom and a gorgeous tropical garden view. The Bali Suite is also used as the master bedroom.
All bedrooms have king-size double beds with gorgeous crisp linen plus a sofa bed, work-desk areas, ceiling fans, hidden air-conditioning, 55cm smart TV’s, a safe, minibar and cofee machine. Each of the black marble stone bathrooms are a delight to behold with twin sinks, rain showers and a bathtub (except in The Bali Suite).
Surround yourself with style and art Villa Orca combines an abundance of natural materials into a sophisticated island living space. The grey marble and limestone fooring throughout is perfectly designed and laid with geometric patterns, cleverly ofset by sisal rugs and walls plastered with white-grey clay. Teak beams adorn
the ceilings and the interior doors combine black lacquered steel with wood and glass in a uniquely stunning and original design. Contemporary furnishings throughout are blended with huge, oversized original paintings and artwork, palettes of white-grey and black, blend with the natural wood, tropical greenery and azure blue of the coastal views.
